Baryn Futa’s Artful Journey

December 30, 2016
It is certainly difficult to believe when you look at him today, but Baryn Futa has not always had a deep appreciation for the arts. The sad fact it, it wasn't until he retired and began to work with the Denver Art Museum that something sparked in him and made him appreciate art. Most of his life was spent outside of the art world, but in his later years, he has developed a great appreciation for the value art has for the culture. It has transformed him into a major art patron and an ardent supporter of artists.

While Baryn Futa’s deep attraction to the art world may have been surprising to him and many others, he feels that it made him happy and gave him a greater purpose. While he was at the DAM, he embraced his love of art and cultivated his new love by attending art fairs and museum exhibitions and anything else he could find. He even attended numerous arts classes and established his very own art collection, which has grown into something that is very impressive. Baryn Futa feels that art is taken for granted far too often and he is saddened by the lack of appreciation for art as a priority. His goal is to make sure that brilliant artists see enough appreciation to thrive and he does whatever he can to bring that about.
Baryn Futa is an art collector who has sought to help expose people to new types of art. He has an extensive art collection currently, but this was certainly not always the case. Once upon a time, not so very long ago, Baryn Futa had no idea that he was interested in the arts. In fact, it was not until Baryn Futa’s retirement that he really discovered his interest in the fine arts and acted on that discovery.
